My Rental is Leaving From Comox Valley Kayaks:​​

Comox Valley Kayaks and Canoes is located adjacent to the Courtenay Marina at 2020 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay.
We are affected by the tides in our location and make decisions to launch for the best results for enjoyment and comfort on the water. We navigate not only the tide but also water flow in the Puntledge river.
We require a reading greater than 2.4 meters reporting at the Comox station to send people out on the water.
The best times are on a rising tide, this helps with paddling against the current in the river. Falling tides are tricky and we want our guests to be back at our location before the tide is falls below 2.4 m.
We want you to enjoy your paddle and be able to return within your 4-hour rental window.

I have Roof Racks On the Vehicle/s for My Rental Pick-up:​
We take transport of our equipment seriously. For everyone's safety roof racks on vehicles need to be manufactured for your specific vehicle and have the weight capacity to carry the load of the rental. Manufactured Brands include and are not limited to Thule, Yakima, Rino Rack, Sportrack and Vehicle branded factory roof racks.
This is an important part of our process. Dismissive behaviour will not be tolerated and for everyone's safety, we reserve the right to refuse service if a roof rack does not meet these requirements or is deemed unsafe for transporting equipment.
The picture you send must be an actual picture of the vehicle, screen shots from the internet will not be accepted. Pictures must be clear and close enough to the vehicle that we can zoom in and see them.
We are kind and practical people. Our boundaries support our values of safety and environmental stewardship. We strive to expand our knowledge and we welcome respectful conversation.
Please reply to your booking confirmation email to 306.230.4030 (or connect via WhatsApp) with your name and a picture of the transportation vehicle that will be used. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Don't Have Roof Racks?
No worries, we have options with a few limitations. Free of charge CVK will supply all the equipment required to safely load your kayak or canoe on your transport vehicle. Our staff will demonstrate all the required techniques for loading so you can feel confident loading for your return trip home. Transportation safety is our priority and we have many tricks up our sleeves from our vast loading experience. We appreciate respectful conversation when discussing loading techniques.​
If you have a truck, your rack needs to resemble the picture.
Please contact us if you have a canopy over the truck box without crossbars attached.
