Quick Paddling Tips

Why Check the Tides?

The boat launch behind our shop is situated in the river, near the estuary. Our area is dramatically affected by the tides. Once you leave the shop, if you plan on going to the ocean you have to ensure the tides are high enough or you will be walking, not paddling! Higher than 2.6m is best for your paddle. When you rent with us, our bookings are only for times where you will have enough water to paddle the estuary. We want to ensure you have a good experience.

Low Tide

Limited access

Mudflats exposed; expect to portage.

Mid → High

Best window

Tide Range
