We’re looking for a **Retail Assistant** who’s friendly, organized, and excited about the paddling community. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. From helping customers find the right gear to supporting rentals, lessons, and shop operations.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

* Assisting customers with gear, clothing, and paddling advice

* Working with our POS system (Lightspeed)

* Receiving, labeling, and organizing inventory

* Keeping the shop clean, stocked, and looking great

* When needed instructing/guiding and supporting rentals

* Helping with equipment, yard upkeep, and occasional fleet maintenance

* Learning and growing your product knowledge (and sharing it!)

**What We’re Looking For**

* Strong customer service and communication skills

* A team player with a positive attitude

* Prefer a guide or instructor but open to any kayaker or canoer

* Willingness to learn and take initiative

* Comfortable working indoors & outdoors and lifting boats when needed

 **Position Details**

* Seasonal work ranging from **32–40 hrs/week, typically 9:30-5:30 April–November. There may be potential for flexibility to ensure it works for both parties.

* Includes some key race events like *Snow to Surf* and *MOMAR*

* $20/hr during training → **$22–$24/hr after**
